CFBackup takes the data from a source folder and backs it up to a destination folder – you get to choose the source and destination folders, you get to pick if you want to see a notification when the backup process starts and/or ends, you get to select if you want to use CFBackup’s functionality via the command line.

To get started with CFBackup, you need only download a very lightweight executable, less than 1MB in size. When you run that executable, CFBackup will launch and you will be able to start using the application. You will not have to go through an installation process.

You will see three tabs in the upper left hand corner of CFBackup interface: Backup (choose the source and destination folders, launch the backup process), Options (play with a few settings), About. It is an easy to figure out layout that will not be a problem for anyone, not even a novice user.

Using CFBackup is a simple process: pick the source folder, pick the destination folder, hit the Copy button and the application will back up your data. The backed up data will be saved in subfolders in the destination folder. If you want to, you can set it up so CFBackup displays a notification when it starts and/or when it's done with the backup. You can also set it so CFBackup settings are removed when the application closes. For silent copying, you can run CFBackup from the command line.

CFBackup is freeware. If you enjoy using the application and you want to support its development, consider making a donation.

CFBackup provides a simple, efficient means of taking data from a source folder and backing it up on a destination folder.

Pros

CFBackup does not have to be installed. It will take little time to get accustomed to the interface. Using CFBackup is a very simple matter. Set custom messages to be displayed when the backup process starts and/or ends. CFBackup is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
